Hello there! My name is Yash Sanghavi. I was raised in Edison, NJ and grew up to love the logic of computers and the subtleties of business. Double majoring in Computer Science and Business Analytics and Information Technology (BAIT), I strive to master these two passions of mine.
I've interned in several corporate environments, each with a unique role. Beginning my career in Software Development, I interned for EOIR Technologies, a DoD Military Contractor, developing a link analysis graphing application. My next internship was at Colgate-Palmolive as a BA; I both collaborated with the business and developed several small ABAP scripts to speed up financial operations at the company. Shifting my focus back towards development at my next internship, I primarily worked with process automation and data visualization at TD Ameritrade and doubled as a Scrum Master. My last internship was at Deloitte, where I worked as a Federal Technology Consultant. Splitting my time between development, functional roles, and data analysis, I enjoyed the variety of roles I was able to work in. Currently, I work at Facebook as a Software Engineer.
In the future, I would love to combine both my technical background and business interest to find a startup that works well for me! I've worked on two startups in the past and found that I loved the passion behind the idea and people I worked with. The first, RFInD, focused on patient tracking in emergency medical environments. The second, called Entractiv, used smart mirrors to inform users and give them a strong start to their day. You can read about both if you Google them!
